  I would like to write a review on my visit , having looked on Hayes Garden World website and reading that it was open today ( Easter Sunday) from 11 to 5-30 My wife and I made the 90 minute journey from Wigan to Ambleside only to find it closed. We knew other garden centres were closed as stated on their own websites so were pleased to see Hayes open. So after driving around an extremely busy Ambleside and Bowness we eventually found parking, not to make it a totally wasted journey. We had a little walk around and decided to drive back home. Just to double check, I looked once again on Hayes website, it read closing soon open again tomorrow ( Easter Monday). Had the website said closed we wouldn't have left the house. Hayes, please keep your website current to avoid this sort of thing happening again. P.S. Others too tried to visit only to find it closed.

  Staff are very helpful. This place is massive and does more than just garden attire. We have come to see Santa with the little one and it was really good! A lot of effort has gone into decorating the building. Shops full of goodies to buy and things to see. Well worth a visit!
